English premier league games on us tv
I am not paying attention?? See the responses after yours and above this one. They covered it. Educate yourself. However I am just a customer like yourself and cannot help you there. Go figure. Anti Comcast Cabal here enjoying the dig analysts take at the cable providers. From the NY Times:. Old habits die hard. But technology can change entrenched ways of doing things slowly and then very quickly.
As recently as a decade ago, nearly all Americans — more than 85 percent of U. I am just pointing out the reality of what is going on. There are always two sides. You seem to only quote from articles that bring attention to one side.
Taking digs like that, though, is such low hanging fruit. In that same article, a little later on from the quote you pulled, is something much more interesting:. For now, Americans spend a majority of their TV time watching conventional television rather than streaming video. Streaming is also a tough business. Even shameless pirates have to pay the Comcast piper unless they live in an area with real high speed internet competition.
But even that could be still 5 years away. An ex president of ESPN was on the Andrew Marchand and Steve Ourand podcast about a month ago discussing this very thing, he said it will happen within 5 years and quicker than we think, one host agreed, one host disagreed.
A good listen, the guys name is Steve Bornstein, very smart, very engaging and totally plugged in. Episode 10 from Dec. You should be advocating for more competition. No wonder Comcast seems to think we are all morons. Ra Yes… you are so brilliant and so many of us are morons.
More of your repeated senseless editorial. SteveK It is quite humorous how Hans always cherry picks stuff from articles he quotes from. Like I said, always just points out the one side of things. Extremely subjective. Not providing the whole story that defines the reality. I will quote yet once again a very astute comment made by greg awhile back… and will keep quoting it as necessary. One comes through a wire attached to your TV, the other from a wire attached to a router.
Youtube TV and Hulu only have about 3 million subscribers each. The numbers are declining and declining quite rapidly. I think you are also mistaken about the revenues a company like Comcast is making when people cut the cord.
How many people do you think are going to hang on to an expensive cable bill to see an EPL team play every other week? I know because everyone I know cut cable and found otherways to watch for free. I would argue if they put them all on Peacock, they would make more revenue through Peacock subscriptions than they are ever hoping to make on retained cable subscribers who are quitting in droves anyway.
El Classico on now and then I will multicast it with Tottenham v. But there is no way on earth NBC could afford to put Norwich v. If true, that is interesting.
See my comments above about what it will probably look like as it all shifts to all streaming. No other provider comes anywhere near close to that. So if you have an option to go cheaper than a traditional cable company provides like Spectrum, good for you. Tried on Apple TV and Shield, and both looked very smooth.
I even switched between this game and ones on paramount plus and ESPN plus just to compare as both the latter ones are 60fps platform. Anybody else had the same observation? Michael F — Comcast is the only gigabit provider in my area and I call them every year on Xmas day to argue with someone in the Philippines in order to get deals the US based reps refuse to give me.
That said, my neighbour has T-mobile home internet and he seems pleased with it, and I have a relative in Europe who is in the Starlink beta and it actually works. I can already use my phone and travel router to get wireless internet for the whole house. Also almost no one really needs gigabit at this point. I only have it because its the only one with 35mbps upload speeds on Comcast.
I have been getting actual Mbps on my Gigabit. That being said, my day peak usage was only 80mbps, but upload speed and latency make a huge difference to me when working on large files on Office Typical Comcast, their routers broadcast some public wifi using your internet by default so Comcast is pushing their own stuff. To get free Peacock I literally went to the store, got a flex, signed up for Peacock and then handed it back. Every time I deal with them I feel like Larry David.
Ra — I actually get a little over mbps the plan is mbps , but this is just on speed tests. That is very typical with how a cable company works. They never offered that on the phone before when I called to tell them of my intentions to drop cable tv. Only when I make the trip to the store with cable box in hand.
I signed up immediately for a live tv stream service. To have the convenience of your content on any device wherever you go, unlimited DVR cloud capabilities and features and no additional hardware… is so much better. If there were other gigabyte internet options in my area, I would certainly play the leverage in negotiations between them.
And I am not in the boonies. Just 20 miles away from the nearest city. When moving to a new home in How fantastic that decision was in view of the pandemic. Main reason for switching was because those greedy bastards started to mess with capping the monthly download quota. They are the epitome of a trashy business. I have many times mentioned before Comcrap should get out of the media business and concentrate on the ISP business which would make their stock pop.
But then we are talking big egos here that will not listen to wall street, hedgefund owners and stock holders. Best quote of so far. Hans I no longer have a landline, but I would bet that a good many households still do.
Glad you are so easily amused. No different than the necessity of requiring high speed internet service from the same companies who provide cable TV, although I am with a live TV stream service for that. Premier League. Match Leicester City vs. Thank you for all the work you do to help explain things to people. I am coming late to this controversy as I am now in the financial situation where it matters a great deal to me.
I cancelled Sling when I read this, and signed up for Peacock. Clearly this is an illegal bait and switch tactic, since NBC should easily be able to remove such out of date content. This is depressing in the middle of the second Great Depression. I simply have no interest in watching anything else on either service, so I wrote to NBC today and told them I was cancelling both, tell them that their greed will get nothing from me at all, ever again.
I will spend the rest of the season watching the extended highlights on Youtube. Some of us have the best of both worlds.
When Peacock reneged on its promise to show all games on the streaming platform, given though that some which were live on the NBCSN channel were delayed for several hours I wrote in and cancelled my ANNUAL subscription and got a refund. However the access was not cut. So I am watching Peacock Premium for nothing at the moment. If they would cut the access it would incur my wrath and Peacock would be toast as I have many other options. So cancel and see if you continue to have access, may not work for the month to month plan but it did work for me on the annual plan.
I really used to enjoy watching the 1-hour Premier League Review Show after each gameweek. Is there any way to watch this program in the US?
