Adobe lightroom 40d settings
As the GoPro has a fish-eye lens, the lens corrections are very drastic. Overall this is a great feature and very helpful for probably many of you guys out there. Unfortunately by giving us the option to add Raw defaults on a per camera model basis, Adobe also took something away from us. It is the option to create Raw defaults depending on the ISO of the image.
You can still have ISO-dependent settings, but you have to do it now in a text editor by modifying files , which is not a very nice way. Photographers are visual people!

Expected Results: Since stacking is off and the virtual copy has the same filename, date, rating, color, flash state, is from the same camera and is the same file type as the original, the virtual copies should all appear next to the original when sorting by filename or capture time.
Results: 1. When either 5dMii, 40D, Nikon d, d, and d models are filtered, ALL virtual copies created show up, right next to the original images, as expected. When I filter by camera: Canon There is a curled page indicator on the bottom corner that shows a virtual copy was created, and the image count increases 1 of 2 , but NO virtual copy can be found.
Furthermore, unstacking doesn't show the copies stacking is turned off , so they aren't being stacked and hidden, they just don't show up. When I select 2 or more camera models from the filter list, one being the 5dmiv, the 5dmiv is the only one that does not show newly created virtual copies next to the selected image s.
To be clear, I'm not talking about missing virtual copies because they don't match the filter or because I'm creating them from a collection instead of a folder, or because I'm sorting files in such a way that a virtual copy wouldn't show up next to the original. As I pointed out already, under the exact same filter and sorting criteria, virtual copies show up next to the original for certain camera models, while the virtual copies from my 5dMiv camera are hidden.
Workarounds: The workarounds are weird and proves to me that something needs to be fixed : basically any change in filters or sorting will make the lost virtual copies appear as long as they still fit the filter. If another virtual copy is created, you have to make another change for it to show. For example, if I increase or decrease the filter rating or sort the results by filename instead of date created, the virtual copy will appear. Create another virtual copy and it will not show unless I make a new change.
So, the original poster is correct that, for some camera models, including the 5D Mark IV, virtual copies created while using certain filters, including the camera filter, behave in a random manner. Please fix this. Related Conversations. Helpful Widget No Yes. How can we improve?
Send Feedback. Histograms aren't just for images, they're for any numerical data. I know that histogram can be done for any numerical data. But what matter for the photo is the analysis of the image. And RAW data are not an image, they are numerical values associated with each photosite of the sensor. These are not description of pixels.
Pixels are created afterward by the rendering software using several photosites values. In a matrix of bayer for exemple, there is 4 photosites 1 capturing red, 2 capturing green and 1 capturing blue per pixel and the software calculate with a complex algoritm the RGB value of a pixel not only from these 4 values, but also by taking in account the neighbor photosites.
You don't now how the pixels are until the raw data has been rendered by the software. Worst, each software inside the camera, LR, DxO In this condition, I don't see how an histogram of raw data can be useful to me, what I want to see is an analysis of the image.
Now, I understand that for those photographer shooting events or a series of photos for a project, would like to have uniformity across images this is still possible in LR by syncing profiles across chosen photos , but I edit one photo at a time, sometimes it takes days for a single photo, so what i really need is to have il LR a very flat and dull rendering.
That's why I am using fast raw viewer to cull images and to choose the one that go into my LT catalog: it shows the flattest image possible. Zenon Senior Member. I was searching the inter-webs for something else and came across this. DPP's downsizing algorithm for 'fit to screen' display is very good - contrasty which creates the illusion of sharpness.
To do so:. Caution: When you enable the Store Presets With This Catalog option, Lightroom Classic doesn't copy or move your existing presets and templates within the associated catalog folder.
Only the new presets and templates that you subsequently create are stored in the 'Lightroom Classic Settings' folder within the catalog folder. Any new presets or templates that you now create after selecting the Store Presets With This Catalog option will be stored in a new folder named 'Lightroom Classic Setting' created within the associated catalog folder. The advantage of using this option is that the presets and templates are available in Lightroom Classic when you launch the associated catalog on another computer.
